Duties of theHistorical Repository:
The main tasks of theHistorical Repositoryinvolvecollecting, registering, storing, researching and It also looks after national collections without any limitations regarding historical periods. The Repositoryalsotakes part in the education of museologists.
The Repository provides professional supervision to support the setup and management of Hungarian memorial places abroad (Ferenc Rákóczi II Memorial House in Rodostó, Imre Thököly Memorial House in Izmit-Kocaeli; Béla Bartók Museum in Osmaniye; Kossuth Museum in Küthaya; Kossuth Memorial House inSumen; Auschwitz).
The daily work of the 17 colleagues of the Historical Repository is coordinated by a repository director being supervised by the vice director and director general of the museum.
