Dear visitors,

we would like to inform you that on the third Saturday of every month, our permanent exhibitions may be visited free of charge by persons under the age of 26, as well as by children under the age of 18 accompanied by two close relatives (citizens of Hungary or other EEA countries). Tickets for this Saturday may be purchased in advance at the ticket office, or on the day of the visit online or in person at the museum.

  We would like to inform you about our holiday season opening hours:

• December 24–25–26: the museum is closed
• December 27–28: open from 10 am to 6 pm
• December 29 (Monday): the museum is closed
• December 30: open from 10 am to 6 pm
• December 31 (Wednesday): open from 10 am to 2 pm

Please note that on December 31, museum tickets can be purchased online and from the ticket machines until 12 pm (noon), and at the ticket office until 1 pm.

(Please keep in mind that the ticket office closes earlier, as the permanent exhibitions are extensive and worth taking more time to explore. The main public entrance areas will, however, remain open until closing time.)
