The management of the Hungarian National Museum quickly realized that the long-term professional success of museology is ensured by the continuous improvement of the quality of the services it provides. Therefore, in 2006, the Museum introduced the ISO 9001 quality management system, which has been operating and evolving for 15 years. Currently, the Hungarian National Museum is the only museum with a quality management system.

EMT First Hungarian Certification Private Limited Company has audited the quality management system of the Museum for many years. The EMT is the exclusive representative of the British National Quality Assurance Ltd. (NQA,), one of the world's leading international certification bodies, in Hungary. NQA is a fully accredited certification body by the UK United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and the US ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

In 2024, the certification audit of the Museum was successful, which is confirmed by the diplomas issued by NQA and EMT.
