From March 17, 2020 the Hungarian National Museum and its member institutions (Semmelweis Museum and Archives of Medical History, Castle Museum of Esztergom, Balint Bálint Museum, Mihály Babits Memorial House, Rákóczi Museum of Sárospatak, Mátyás Király Múzeum Museum of Visegrád, Palóc Museum of Balassagyarmat, Villa Romana Baláca - Roman villa and ruin garden, Archaeological Exhibition Site of Vértesszőlős) are closed indefinitely due to the epidemiological situation. We will inform the public in good time about the reopening of exhibitions.
In the meantime, we invite our friends, visitors, and community to stay informed on our social networking sites (Facebook, Instagram) and our website (mnm.hu/en) and enjoy our ever-expanding digital content!
Although our doors are closed, museum work does not stop. In the coming weeks, we will be updating our exciting databases (MuseuMap, Treasures of the Hungarian National Museum, Archeology Database), as well as finding new solutions to make online education more colorful and diverse. Please follow our website.
Do take care of each other!
