  • When you visit, look for the museum map for families at the information desk.
  • Explore our exhibitions with your children using our family explorer backpack!
  • Before your visit, please, make sure that all the exhibitions you wish to see are open.
  • To the museum access is limited due to its heritage-protected status. Please refer to our Accessibility section.
  • Children under two years of age may only be admitted to the exhibition area in a stroller or in a carrier attached to the front of the body. Strollers are only to be pushed and must not be carried folded in the hand. Carrying young children of any age on the neck or back is not permitted for safety reasons.
  • A separate baby changing room is located next to the ground floor cafeteria. Please, ask our staff for assistance. There are baby changing facilities available on all floors in the ladies' toilets.
  • The Hungarian National Museum has unique treasures, help us to preserve them! Visitors are kindly requested to read the museum's House Rules before visiting.
