The family explorer backpack is a family programme available any time during the museum's opening hours. With the backpack, families can explore various sections of the museum's exhibitions on their own, and discover the museum's treasures and Hungarian history through play.
With the backpacks, we aim to give families a rewarding time together in the museum, and to provide children playfully with new knowledge.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- The backpacks are recommended for families with young children (ages 5–7 and 8–12).
- The backpack contains: an explorer's workbook, writing instruments (graphite and coloured pencils), sharpener, seat cushion, creative surprise pack varying by theme.
- The backpack can be purchased at the museum shop. It must be accompanied by a ticket for the permanent exhibition, with the exception of the museum garden theme. For information on ticket prices and monthly discounted admission days for families click HERE.
- The programme is available during the museum's opening hours.
- It will take approximately one hour to solve the workbook activity in the backpack, please note the museum's opening hours. The additional creative tasks with some further home-based activities completes the museum experience.
- The backpack is available in five themes for two different age groups, so you can take two children of different ages through the programme exploring the same exhibits. Themes: Roman period, Middle Ages, Ottoman period, 19th century, Museum Garden.
