Following the venues in Washington, New York, Rome and Munich, the exhibition Cross-in-Fire can be seen at the Hungarian National Museum again with an updated and augmented material.

The exhibition open from 26 June to 12 September 2021, analyses the situation of Christianity in the Middle East and West Africa: explores the causes of persecution, presents the fate of persecuted communities and their members, and draws attention to the importance of on-site assistance.

The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the Hungarian National Museum, the Avicenna Institute of Middle Eastern Studies, the Migration Research Institute and the National University of Public Service, supported by the State Secretariat for the Aid of Persecuted Christians and for the Hungary Helps Program.
