Pest’s green centre: The Museum Garden

The Museum Garden is the only major public park in Pest's city centre: the "green heart of Pest". The National Museum, a symbol of freedom, Europeanism and national independence, is surrounded by this square. The history of the garden is a faithful record of nearly two centuries of our history, a companion of our everyday life. It is a playground for children, a meeting place for students, a place to study and relax, a place to sunbathe, breathe, read and chat. The MUZI, the Data Archive and the Historical Photographic Archive collections present photographs of the garden of yesteryear.
