The Audiovisual Collection of the Central Archive collects and organises audio recordings, video recordings, and other moving-image materials related to the history and activities of the Hungarian National Museum. The primary aim of the collection is to preserve the museum’s audiovisual heritage for future generations. The collection comprises both digitally created recordings and analogue materials currently undergoing digitisation. As the collection is presently under restoration and processing, it is only partially accessible for research.
