The Collection of Leaflets covers political leaflets containing nearly 20,000 individually inventoried documents from the early 19th century to the present day. Leaflets, pamphlets, brochures are a means of informing and politically mobilising wider society, which became widespread mostly during the crises of the late modern period, at times of major social changes. The bulk of the material in the collection therefore comes from the period of the 1848/49 revolution, the First and Second World Wars, the events of 1918–1919 and the coalition period (1945–1948). The 1956 collection is also the most important nationally. In addition to the inventoried material, the collection also preserves uncounted but systematically kept documents of important events after the political transition.
